What HeyGema does
Jewelers design in CAD programs such as Rhino, MatrixGold, JewelCAD or 3Design, but a CAD view isn't something a client falls in love with. The usual next step is a render: set up materials, lights and a camera in a renderer such as KeyShot, or pay a render artist. HeyGema replaces that step with an AI render tool made for jewelry. It takes your CAD as it is and returns a photorealistic image of the same piece: the same camera angle, the same stones in the same places, in the metal you chose.
With a Rhino .3dm file, HeyGema reads the model, sorts its parts into metal, center stone and side stones, and lets you choose the angle before rendering. With a screenshot, it renders exactly the view you captured. See how to render a .3dm file and how to render a CAD screenshot.
Who it's for
Custom jewelers and engagement ring designers who show clients a piece before it's made. CAD designers who need client-ready images without a render setup. Jewelry retailers and online jewelers who need images of made-to-order pieces.
What HeyGema is not
HeyGema is not a CAD program: you design in your own software. It is not a general image generator either: it renders the piece you modeled, and Refine makes creative variations of that render. A render is an image for showing and approving a design, so check proportions and stone sizes against your CAD before production. Rhino .3dm is the only 3D format it opens; for STL, OBJ or other formats, upload a screenshot of the model.
The name
HeyGema is one word: Hey + Gema. It isn't related to HeyGen, the AI video company, or to HeyGem, an open-source avatar project. HeyGema's official profiles are on Instagram, YouTube, Facebook and LinkedIn.
Speech to sketch
HeyGema's first product was speech to sketch, a Google Meet add-on that sketches jewelry while a client describes it. It keeps its own page; the render tool is now HeyGema's main product.
